The Earth River SUP DECK 10-9 S3 is the extra-large board in the DECK series — 34 inches wide with a long, clear deck — built for paddlers who want a stable platform for SUP yoga, paddling with kids or a dog, and relaxed days on flat water.

Who Is The DECK 10-9 For?

The DECK 10-9 is for paddlers who value stability and deck space first. At 34" it is the widest board in the DECK series — the board to choose if you plan to practice yoga on the water, bring a child or dog along, or simply want the most reassuring board underfoot while you build confidence as a newer paddler. It's recommended for riders from 120 to 225 lb, and up to 245 lb for experienced riders.

The bigger footprint doesn't make it a burden on land: X7 fused laminate construction keeps the 10-9 at 22 lb, and it folds into its rolling backpack like every other board in the series.

10'9" | 34" wide | 5" thick | 22 lb board weight | Riders 120–225 lb (up to 245 lb experienced)

Why Riders Choose The 10'9" DECK

Stability you can move around on. The 34" width and 10'9" length give the board a large, planted footprint, so shifting your stance — for a yoga flow or a squirming passenger — doesn't unsettle it.

A deck that clears out completely. The center carry handle has a removable neoprene wrap, so the reptile-skin traction pad becomes one long, flat practice surface. The pad runs thick underfoot — ERS specs it at 40% thicker than the industry average — and the contoured kick pad and arch support at the tail stay out of the way until you need them.

Built to carry a day's gear. High-grade stainless steel D-rings at the nose, tail, and forward deck take a leash, tow line, or tie-downs, and the bungee cargo system holds a dry bag securely. The ERS Ultimate DECK Bag (sold separately) is designed to clip directly into the bungee system as a combined gear bag and day pack.

Built For Years Of Real Use

The X7 construction fuses the laminate to the drop-stitch core rather than gluing it as a separate layer, with additional reinforcement in the areas that take the most wear. The result is a board that holds its rigidity at pressure, resists delamination at the seams, and keeps its weight down at the same time — the reason a 34"-wide board still comes in at 22 lb.

Every DECK 10-9 is covered by a two-year warranty, and it ships with the same accessory grade as the rest of the ERS line: a deluxe rolling backpack and a double-action pump that inflates on both the downstroke and upstroke, cutting inflation time and effort roughly in half.

The Fin System

The DECK 10-9 runs the LAKE RIVER COAST™ (LRC) Fin System in a three-fin thruster configuration with an optimized toe-in angle. All three fins click in and out without tools, and they pack into the included padded ERS fin and accessories bag. Run all three for tracking and stability, or pull the side fins for faster flat-water glide.

Safety note for whitewater use

A standard ankle leash is not recommended for whitewater paddling. Use a quick-release leash, wear a helmet, and wear an inherently buoyant life jacket — all are important safety equipment in moving river water.

Inflation

The ERS 12VDC 20PSI Electrical Pump inflates this board to 15PSI in approximately 9 minutes.

How The DECK Series Fits The ERS Lineup

Earth River SUP builds the DECK series on X7 fused laminate construction with click-in fins, while the DUAL series uses the heavier-duty X9 Dual Core construction and a US fin box with interchangeable center fins, built for frequent whitewater and surf use. Within the DECK series, the 10-9 is the stability specialist: its extra width and length trade some agility for a platform steady enough to share — which is exactly what yoga paddlers and parents are shopping for.

What's Included

Every 10'9" DECK ships with a deluxe rolling backpack, a high-pressure double-action pump, the padded fin and accessories bag, and a 24-month warranty.

FAQ

Who is the DECK 10-9 the right board for?
Paddlers who value stability and deck space first. At 34" it is the widest board in the DECK series, which makes it the natural choice for SUP yoga, paddling with a child or dog aboard, and newer paddlers who want a reassuringly steady board while they build confidence. It's recommended for riders from 120 to 225 lb, and up to 245 lb for experienced riders.
Is the DECK 10-9 good for SUP yoga?
It's the board in the DECK series designed around exactly that. The center handle's neoprene wrap is removable, so the full-length reptile-skin traction pad becomes one flat, clear practice surface, and the 34" width keeps the board steady as you move through poses.
How heavy is it to carry and travel with?
The DECK 10-9 is 22 lb, despite the extra width — the ERS X7 fused laminate construction keeps the weight down. It folds into the included deluxe rolling backpack along with the pump and fins.
What fins are included?
The DECK 10-9 runs the LAKE RIVER COAST™ (LRC) Fin System in a three-fin thruster configuration with an optimized toe-in angle. All three fins click in and out without tools, and they pack into the included padded ERS fin and accessories bag.
Can I take a passenger — a child or a dog?
Yes, that's a core use for this board. The 10'9" x 34" footprint gives a passenger room to sit forward of your stance, the deck pad gives paws and small feet grip, and the bungee cargo system keeps a day's gear out of the way.
Does the ERS Ultimate DECK Bag fit this board?
Yes — the DECK Bag (sold separately) is designed to clip directly into the 10-9's bungee cargo system, working as a combined gear bag on the water and day pack off it.
What's included with the DECK 10-9?
A deluxe rolling backpack, a high-pressure double-action pump that inflates on both the downstroke and upstroke, the padded ERS fin and accessories bag with all three click fins, and a 24-month warranty.
